Sheriff James R. Voutour announces the arrest of seven individuals on welfare fraud related charges in the past week:

Shavonne M. Rivera, 31, Niagara Falls, was charged with Offering a False Instrument for Filing 1st degree, Welfare Fraud 5th degree, and Petit Larceny. Rivera was given a return court date of April 16, 2018 at 9:30 a.m. in Lockport City Court.

Anthony M. Volpe, 29, Niagara Falls, was charged with Possession of a Forged Instrument 2nd degree, Offering a False Instrument for Filing 1st degree, and Welfare Fraud 5th degree. Volpe was arraigned in Lockport City Court and released on his own recognizance. He has a return date of April 25, 2018 at 9:30 a.m.

Ashley Weber, 24, Lancaster, was charged with Offering a False Instrument for Filing 1st degree, Petit Larceny, and Welfare Fraud 5th degree. Weber was given a return date of April 25, 2018 at 9:30 a.m. in Lockport City Court.

Kristina DeLorenzo, 31, Lewiston, was charged with Petit Larceny, Welfare Fraud 5th degree, and Offering a False Instrument for Filing 1st degree. DeLorenzo was given a return date of May 2, 2018 at 9:30 a.m. in Lockport City Court.

Camillya L. Joseph, 28, Niagara Falls, was arrested on charges of Offering a False Instrument for Filing 1st degree, Petit Larceny, Welfare Fraud 4th degree, Grand Larceny 4th degree, and Welfare Fraud 5th degree. She is scheduled to appear in Lockport City Court on April 18, 2018 at 9:30 a.m.

Charles H. Davis, 60, Lockport, was charged with Welfare Fraud 4th, Grand Larceny 4th degree, and Offering a False Instrument for Filing 1st degree. Davis returns to Lockport City Court on April 18, 2018 at 9:30 a.m.

James L. Dolson, 53, Niagara Falls, was arrested and charged with Offering a False Instrument for Filing 1st degree, Welfare Fraud 4th degree, and Grand Larceny 4th degree. Dolson was also given a return court date of April 18, 2018 at 9:30 a.m. in Lockport City Court.

All other defendants other than Volpe were released on appearance tickets.
