Lockport, NY - On March 2nd, 2018, at approximately 1757 hrs, the Niagara County Sheriff's Office responded to a two car injury accident on Robinson Road in the Town of Lockport. Initial investigation revealed that a westbound vehicle crossed over the double yellow line and entered the eastbound lane. The westbound vehicle was driven by Andrea Lang, 34 years old, from Lockport. The westbound vehicle was also occupied by Lang’s five year old passenger. Lang’s vehicle struck an oncoming eastbound vehicle head on. Lang and her five year old passenger were not injured. The driver of the eastbound vehicle suffered injuries and was transported by Twin City ambulance to ECMC for treatment.

  Deputies performed Standardized Field Sobriety Tests on Lang at the scene. Lang was subsequently charged with Aggravated Vehicular Assault, Leandra’s Law violation, Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs, Driving While Ability Impaired by the Combined Influence Drugs and Alcohol, Child Endangerment, Reckless Driving and multiple Vehicle and Traffic charges. Lang is being held at the Niagara County Jail on $2,500 bail.

   The investigation is continuing by the Niagara County Sheriff's Office. The name of the driver of the eastbound vehicle is being withheld at this time pending notification of the family.
