Sheriff James R. Voutour announces the arrest of the following four women on welfare fraud related charges in Niagara County this month:

 

Schandra W. Brandy, 51, of Niagara Falls, was charged with Misuse of Food Stamps and Criminal Use of Public Benefit Card in the second Degree. She has a return court date of September 27, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. in Lockport City Court.

 

Michelle R. Walsh, 49, of Cambria, was charged with Grand Larceny 4th degree, Welfare Fraud 4th degree, and Offering a False Instrument for Filing 1st degree. She has a return court date of October 2, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. in Lockport City Court.

 

Kristen A. Miller, 28, of Youngstown, was charged with Welfare Fraud 5th degree and Offering a False Instrument for Filing 1st degree. Her return court date is October 2, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. in Lockport City Court.

 

Cassandra R. Castro, 31, of Lockport, was charged with Grand Larceny 4th degree, Welfare Fraud 4th degree, and Offering a False Instrument for Filing 1st degree. She has a return court date of October 4, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. in Lockport City Court.

 

All four defendants were released on appearance tickets.
